Years after the movie became a cult phenomenon, fan mail for Misha's Phantom of the Opera score continues to stream into his email box.
Before computers and music software programs like Digital Performer, Logic, Pro Tools and Sibelius conquered musicians' studios, before temporary soundtracks were laid into a rough cut of a movie to guide the composer, there was only paper, pencil, formal education, and a great deal of imagination.
Comprised of original cues (with the exception of a cut from Gounod's Faust) with the arietta "Don Juan Triumphant" probably the most treasured by fans, Misha conducted the 80-piece Budapest Symphony Orchestra to create this popularly and critically acclaimed score. (Even moreso than we knew: We recently discovered Misha's Phantom of the Opera score apparently won a BRIT for Best Soundtrack....)
Some enjoy studying such scores, and it's for you that we are happy to offer for sale copies of the original manuscript in full (copies of two full-size manuscript books), signed by the composer. Please email for purchasing instructions.
