Weekend in Tel Aviv

U.S. Title: For My Father

Europe Title: Shabat Shalom, Maradona

Garners Seven Academy Nominations

One weekend in Tel-Aviv, three loners who have no business becoming friends (the Palestinian Tarek, a would-be suicide bomber; Keren, a young woman who leaves her orthodox Jewish family for a life on her own; and Katz, an embittered Israeli with a heart of gold) collide paths only to discover their hearts entwined amongst the rubble. The film also won the audience favorite award at the Moscow International Film Festival earlier this summer.
