Inspired by short stories from Ida Fink (screenplay by Motti Lerner), Israel's first Oscar-nominated director, Uri Barbash, brings to life the heroine Clara, as she looks back 30 years to the horrors, humiliations and compromising positions she and her young husband (played by Joseph Fiennes) and children experience hiding from the Nazis in Poland, compelled to take shelter in the house of a lonely, romantic woman who tears the family apart in the name of survival. The first ever Israeli-Polish co-production, the film is set against the awakening of the Polish Spring.

Lies My Father Told Me

A few years ago, Misha was involved as composer in the Westwood Playhouse Theatre reading of Ted Allan's Oscar-nominated screenplay, Lies My Father Told Me, directed by Arthur Hiller and starring Martin Landau and Jack Klugman.

We are pleased to announce Misha has created a team of four partners to produce Lies My Father Told Me as a Broadway musical; Misha is joined by Julie Allan (Ted Allan's daughter), Edmund Gaynes and Alan Roberts.**

**

Edmund Gaynes: Off-Broadway Producer ("The Rise of Dorothy Hale," "Picon Pie," "Chaim's Love Song," Einstein"), runs four N.Y. theaters including The Theatres At 45 Bleecker St., now showing Ethan Coen's play "Almost An Evening" starring F. Murray Abraham.

Alan Roberts: Librettist, is an indie film producer-writer-editor ("Fighting Words," "Grand Theft Parsons," "Deterrence") and has performed on Broadway ("Gypsy," "The Unsinkable Molly Brown").  Alan has directed and choreographed for the UCLA Musical Comedy Workshop and The Long Beach Civic Light Opera.

Love Your Mama

This year, Mother's Day is Sunday, May 11.

We know how much you love your mama...so much that you'd send her, undisputably, one of the top romantic composers of our day to deliver a private concert of music so gentle, calming and profound that afterwards listeners feel they've taken a long vacation, no? Giving her Misha's Female CDs is the next best thing to having him show up at your favorite mother's door; don't delay....

Buy her Misha's solo piano collection, Female, comprised of music he played for his mother, Elisabeth.

Proof Female would be a most treasured gift.

Listen to samples of...

Female | Female: Part II | Female: Part III

Order Female now for Mother's Day.

Manuscripts

If you're the aficionado who loves to peruse a score with your fingertips as well as your ears, you may be interested in purchasing a copy of one of Misha's complete manuscripts detailing his original music— from the days when music was written with a pencil on paper.

Most requested of these handwritten scores are Phantom of the Opera and The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking.  For both projects, Misha conducted the 80-piece Budapest Symphony Orchestra.  But feel free to request the manuscripts of any of Misha's scores, and if we've got it in the vault, we'll be happy to copy it for you.

Please email for purchasing instructions.

Don Juan Triumphant

Due to the numerous requests for the sheet music to Misha's arietta Don Juan Triumphant, it is now available in PDF.

Please email for purchasing instructions.
